Nestled on 3.8 acres of serene woodland, Catfish Hideaway offers a year-round house (6 BR/4Bath) and a separate seasonal cabin (1 BD/1Bath).

-This listing is for the year-round house. If you book this house while the seasonal cabin is open (generally Mid May - Mid October) you might be sharing the property with guests that rent the cabin.

-There is a separate listing for the cabin as well as a listing that combines both the cabin and the house if you would like to rent the entire property.

 

Welcome to the Catfish Hideaway on the world-famous Eagle River Chain of Lakes. Discover year-round lakeside fun in this renovated 6BR/4BA home on Catfish Lake! Enjoy 100' of sandy shores, southern exposure, and endless recreation. Perfect for groups or a private getaway. Boat, ski, fish, ATV and snowmobile right from your doorstep!

 

 

 

 

HOUSE

The house features four communal areas for gathering, entertaining or relaxing:

• Kitchen & Dining: The main floor showcases a modern, fully-equipped kitchen that flows directly into a spacious dining area.

• Great Room: Right next to the kitchen, this room offers an expansive sectional with extra seating—ideal for group gatherings.

• Game Room: Our converted garage is ready for fun, featuring a pool table and air hockey for entertainment.

• Basement Lounge: A walk-out lower level area furnished with a sofa, smart TV, and a foosball table.

 

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Main Floor:

• 3 bedrooms - two with queen beds and one with a queen bunk

• 2 bathrooms - one with a shower/tub and one with a walk-in shower

 

Basement

• 3 bedrooms – one with a king bed, one with a queen bed and one with a queen bunk

• 2 bathrooms – one en-suite attached to a bedroom and one stand alone

Catfish Hideaway sits hillside on the largest lake in the Eagle River chain, Catfish Lake. Enjoy a lively summer with boating, skiing, and fishing, then transition into a picturesque fall, ideal for hunting, fishing, and soaking in the stunning foliage. As winter unveils its snowy blanket, find yourself seamlessly transitioning from the cozy indoors to acclaimed snowmobile trails, directly accessible from our location. Our property is merely minutes from downtown Eagle River, offering a mix of local dining and shopping experiences. Or head up the street to explore popular locales like the Braywood, Lumpy’s Bar & Grill, or Agave Azul. The hideaway is your gateway to every seasonal delight, from summer fun to winter adventures.

 

Guest Verification & Rental Agreement

Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. I will be sending you a separate link to the rental agreement. Please complete both within 72 hours of booking your reservation.

 

Security, Monitoring & Smart Devices

There are three external cameras on the property, an ecobee thermostat & door/window sensors and a monitoring device that sends me an alert in the presence of cigarette, vape, marijuana or any other type of tobacco smoke as well as excessive noise decibels.

The house was large enough for the 12 people we had there. It was clean and supplied with just about everything you may need for cooking. There were numerous games to play as well the pool table, etc in the speakeasy. There was one very minor problem we had which was taken care of immediately by the host. She was extremely helpful and very quick to respond before and during our stay. The dock and lake were great and enjoyed by adults and children. Everyone with me agreed it was one of, if the best house we've rented over the past 5 years.

Christina’s home is absolutely beautiful! There was plenty of space for our group of 13 ladies, we all loved the dining area and the game room. This was our 18th annual Snow Chicks weekend and unfortunately we were not able to snowmobile due to some of the trails being closed. That didn’t stop us from having fun though! Christina was extremely responsive when we had questions and we are hoping to book again next year!

Our family group gathered at Catfish Hideaway for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and this place was truly perfect. As you approach the house from the road for the first time you might be fooled into thinking it is just a normal house, but once inside you realize it has loads of thoughtfully laid out space. But the best thing for our group was the open concept kitchen/dining room/family room, that let us all hang out together while the turkey cooked. The second best thing was the “Speakeasy,” where the pool table, air hockey table and large screen TV all got thorough workouts through the entire weekend. The views toward Catfish Lake are beautiful, and we even had light snow flurries to add to the Holiday theme. With the electric fireplace on and wrapped in cozy blankets, it was kind of a Hallmark holiday movie moment. Christina was extremely easy to work with, and she worked hard to make sure our visit went well.

The house was perfect for our large family. It offered many indoor and outdoor activities for us and plenty of space to spread out and relax when we wanted down time. There is ample, comfortable bedspace to accommodate many people, kids and adults. The house's surroundings are beautiful and there is wildlife to watch through the house's panoramic windows or from a distance outside. A short walk down the road brings you to a sometimes-lively bar/restaurant with beach sports and slip access. In addition to the house's kayaks, there are numerous nearby places to rent bikes, boats, and other outdoor recreational items. Christina is incredibly communicative and helpful. I appreciate the effort she put in to help my family have a wonderful time!

When entering the building we were immediately surprised how nice and spacious the entry way was. Once entered into the kitchen we were taken back of how nice the house was. We had 10 people to our group and there was a ton room for more! Everything was extremely clean, organized and comfortable! There wasn’t one “I wish this place had” comment. Everything we needed was there. We are hopeful to return in the summer! We did some fishing, perch are present but they were small. Found some musky, pike and walleye. Everyone we came in contact with on the lake was very friendly. Christina was super quick to respond, and very accommodating. Can’t wait to be back!

Beautiful house and lake view! The house is spacious and so much to do! Christina was extremely accommodating and responsive even going out and purchasing child gates when she found out we were going to have little ones staying there as well! We loved our stay! There were so many awesome little touches. The only negative thing I could say is there isn’t much head space in the bunk beds but that was such a minor detail in the long scheme of it all. Would definitely stay here again and highly suggest it to anyone looking!
